Sometimes a child's health depends on receiving medical treatment far from home. For many families, transportation costs can seem overwhelming. That's why we created the KidCares medical travel program in 1999. With KidCares, donated WorldPerks® miles are used to provide free air travel for a child, accompanied by one adult, to obtain needed medical treatment. If you have a child who requires medical treatment and needs air travel assistance, you will find information on how to request an application below.
The Northwest Airlines KidCares medical travel program provides air travel to children age 18 and younger who are unable to receive treatment in their home area. The KidCares program is fueled by generous mileage donations of Northwest's WorldPerks members. Availability of the program is based on that donated WorldPerks mileage, and consideration of each request is based on the following guidelines. Each application received must be evaluated on a case-by-case basis; we regret that we cannot fulfill all requests.
Northwest will respond within 2-3 weeks.
To Receive an Application for KidCares Travel:
KidCares applications may be found on Northwest's Web site, nwa.com at the following location http://www.nwa.com/corpinfo/aircares/about/KidCares_Application.pdf. You may also call 612. 726.4206 and leave detailed information regarding where the application should be sent and to whom.
