Northwest Airlines Presents the Mountains of Miles Promotion

Members Can Earn Bonus Miles and Great Travel Prizes

EAGAN, Minn. – (September 3, 2008) – Northwest Airlines (NYSE: NWA) announces one of its most generous travel promotions of the year: Mountains of Miles. WorldPerks® members have the opportunity to earn Bonus Miles by completing a variety of everyday activities.

WorldPerks members can earn up to 100,000 Bonus Miles from now until January 31, 2009, with easy activities in the air and on the ground. With each qualifying activity members earn points, which will then be converted to WorldPerks Bonus Miles at the end of the promotion. Additionally, the top three point-earners in each WorldPerks tier will earn travel prizes valued at up to $10,000.
